The Rolling Stones, who had interrupted their 2014 world tour following the suicide of the wife of Mick Jagger, were back on stage Monday with a two hour concert at Telenor Arena in Oslo, Norway.
Jagger did not mention the passing of his wife, stylist L’Wren Scott, during the show in front of the crowd of 23,000 fans, although he did say a few words in Norwegian between songs.
The group performed hits from their legendary catalogue of songs, including a version of “You Can not Always Get What You Want” with a youth choir, with the finale concluding with an explosion of fireworks.
The Rolling Stones had postponed concert dates in March of this year after the death of Scott, who has been Jagger’s wife since 2001.
The next Stones concert will take place on May 29 in Lisbon, Portugal.
