North Korea Posts Video Showing a Burning US Aircraft Carrier

North Korea launched a propaganda video this past Saturday that appears to show a military attack on a US aircraft carrier and a US bomber.

The video (below) was posted on the North Korean government website for Uriminzokkiri TV and shows a photo of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier the USS Carl Vinson superimposed with flames. The video narrator is heard warning: “A knife will be stabbed into the throat of the carrier.”

It also shows an image of a US B-1B bomber, likewise covered with animated flames, with the narrator declaring that “the bomber will fall from the sky after getting hit by a hail of fire.”

The video comes at a time of both escalating North Korean rhetoric and missile activity, coinciding with the joint military exercise by South Korea and the United States.

In 2013, the North Korean site launched a similar video showing a nuclear attack on the White House.
