Canadian songwriter and pop artist Emma-Lee is pleased to announce the January 26th release of her latest EP “Fantasies: Volume 2”, available everywhere via Special Agent Records.
“Driving”, available today (video below), is the lead single co-written by fellow Canadian Karen Kosowski. The companion video sees Emma-Lee take the viewer along on a dream road trip, kicking off in her current home of Nashville and covering almost 4000 miles of memories before finally culminating at the Santa Monica Pier in California.
On the inspiration for the video and song, Emma-Lee shares, “I’m a big fan of the aimless road trip and I wanted to make a video for this song that hopefully inspires other people to finally take that adventure they’ve been putting off. I’ve wanted to drive through the Southwestern US for a long time and it was absolutely magical. Discovering forgotten places and driving on roads where few people go is one of my favourite things to do!”
The follow-up to her 2017 release “Fantasies: Volume 1”, Volume 2 features a collection of songs produced by long-time collaborator Kosowski, including the Ron Sexsmith co-penned “No Photographs”, a dreamy ballad about the end of a relationship and the realization that you don’t have a single photo together and “I Met Somebody”, an homage to the inimitable feeling and energy you feel after meeting that special someone for the first time.
To celebrate the release of “Fantasies: Volume 2” on January 26th, Emma-Lee will be performing a selection of tracks for an album release party at Toronto’s Drake Underground with special guest Ezra Jordan – tickets are available HERE.
