Shawn Austin "Get Me There"

Canadian country artist Shawn Austin is pleased to announce the release of his brand new single “Get Me There” available at radio today and digitally HERE via SteelHead Music/Sony Music Canada.

“Get Me There” is Austin’s second release and the follow-up to his Top 10 debut single “Paradise Found” (audio video below) which came out last summer following his label deal with Platinum-selling country music star Dallas Smith’s SteelHead Music.

Austin will perform the new track when he hits the road for a handful of dates with Gold-certified US country artist Chris Lane this March, followed by an Ontario run with Alberta sibling duo High Valley in April.

2017 marked an exceptional year for Austin, not only with the success of “Paradise Found”, but with his run as the featured special guest on Smith’s “Side Effects Tour”, which saw the BC native showcasing his extraordinary voice to packed crowds across the country. Though his style may often be compared to that of Grammy-winning icon John Mayer and country superstar Brett Eldridge, it is Austin’s chill vibe, honest lyricism and smooth, sultry, laid-back sound that made him one of the top 10 most-played Canadian artists on country radio last year.

Austin has worked tirelessly over the years, performing in local clubs and bars, crafting his sound and sharpening and refining his musicianship. With the release of “Get Me There” and a debut as strong as “Paradise Found”, there is little doubt that he has begun to cement his spot in the Canadian country scene, solidifying what fans have already come to expect from this exceptional artist.
